I have had two people send me an e-mail on how they can use an Avatar.
First, what is an Avatar? It is a symbol or picture that you would like represented when you post. You can look at my postings or that of Tom Gonya, we both are using pictures of ourselves as the Avatar. You could use a picture of your favorite bait, fish, coat of arms, what have you. As long as it is in good taste, I don't have a problem with whatever you choose.
An Avatar is typically a small jpg file 80 pixels X 80 pixels, and less than 4,500 Bytes. You can use Irfanview to cut a picture to that size from an existing photo. Then save that small picture on your hard drive in some directory.
Then go to your profile at the top of an page in the board. Go down to the Avatar portion and browse in the directory where you put it in on your hard drive. Then Save. You now have an Avatar that will be displayed whenever you post.
